WinPatrol

Traditional security programs scan your hard drive searching for previously identified threats. CounterSpy Anti-Spyware
May 10, 2005 - I downloaded this program to see if it could discover anything that Spybot Search & Destroy (another anti-spyware program I use) may have missed. Sure enough, it found some pesky adware programs that needed to be zapped. I didn't even know I had them because my firewall software (Zonealarm) didn't allow the adware to send or retrieve any information or ads, so I never saw the ads pop up.

I really like this program.
