I personally use this method to promote my business, and I can assure you, it does indeed work.

20% of my overall traffic comes from posting on forums - nothing to sneeze at.

More importantly, a high percentage of those forum visitors are converted into buyers.

The key of course is to consistently post good, quality information, so that forum members will want to click on your sig.

Another key is to use effective copywriting skills when writing your sig.
For example, since most people are inherently selfish, you need to tell them "what's in it for them" if they click on your sig.

Thanks for the information. Signature advertising is really helpful. We know know that the more links to your internet business website, the greater probability for more visitors and search engine visits. The more links with appropriate anchor text pointing to your website, the better your search engine rankings will be period.

I use it but not as much as i would like to,and i think does work for me.I mean i do not sell anything,but do get the users to visit my websites.

If i had enough time i would do more of it,but then another problem is many sites dont let me add links into the sig.

Signature advertising is a great tool. At least I think it is. Helps drive new traffic and builds brand awareness.
