Default Another Keyword Question

I'm studying about PPC (pay per click) campaigns and I have encountered "negative keywords". Aside from ensuring that your ad doesn't show for a particular word search, what are the benefits of effectively using negative keywords?

It will help reduce irrelevant advertisement impressions so you can improve the quality score and lower cost per click. It may also help decrease cost per acquisition and conversation rates will increase.

READ This Buddy... ITs Google Guidelines...

Negative keywords
A type of keyword that prevents your ad from being triggered by a certain word or phrase. It tells Google not to show your ad to anyone who is searching for that phrase.

1. For example, when you add "free" as a negative keyword to your campaign or ad group, you tell AdWords not to show your ad for any search containing the term "free". On the Display Network, your ad is less likely to appear on a site when your negative keywords match the site's content.
2. A similar term is negative match, one of the four keyword matching options that is used to describe negative keywords.
3. Add negative keywords on the Keywords tab by clicking "Negative keywords" below the main table.
4. Negative keywords are an important part of every campaign because they help make sure that your ads appear only to people looking for what you offer. This added level of control can help you increase your click-through rate (CTR), reduce your average cost-per-click (CPC) and increase your ROI.

Thanks for the response. Just give me the needed information, I read some blogs and even watched some tutorial videos about PPC campaign management.

The question though, how can I filter these negative words? I am really confused.

The best practice is to find out some of the negative keywords from Google Keyword Planner Tool itself. You have to understand which keywords are not potential for your business and which may not bring any conversion to you. Besides that you will come know about negative keywords from the regular Adwords report also. You should have to see which search term people are using to click your ad and which are bringing conversion to you. Those which are not bringing any conversion, just place them in negative keyword list.

The best way for filtering negative keywords is to think the unrelated keyword phrases that would be possibly connected to your ad like your selling product is "hiking backpack" the negative keyword would be "kids"
