Question Can You Use Instagram For B2B Marketing?

Hey All,
I have been questioning the value of Instagram for B2B marketing, obviously business owners do not have the same time to devote to Instagram as a soccer mom or teenager.

I understand that instagram is Great for B2C, I really want to establish a well-educated perspective about the B2B section on this platform.

If you have any insights to share about B2B Marketing on Instagram, please do so here

Default Can You Use Instagram For B2B Marketing?

In my opinion, all B2C are experiencing great success on Instagram but B2B companies still have no engagement on Instagram. But do remember one thing that people do business with people not with other small businesses. So, keeping in mind this thought, I think you should follow below strategies to promote B2B business on Instagram:

1. Display Company Vision & Culture : Displaying your company vision and culture will allows you to connect with the target audience effectively. If this is done correctly, more and more people will connect to your company within a certain keyword.

2. Employee Engagement - Appreciate your employee's hard work that put in to make your company more better and stronger. This will be of great help to derive more visits.

3. Company History - Try to share about the company history so that more and more people will know about your company.

4. Thought Leadership -After sharing about your company vision, culture, and history, now it is the time for sharing thoughts provoking from your conferences or conduct 15 seconds of interview of your employee for better engagement.

Hope these tips helps you.

Default Instagram for B2B

If you have B2B product then you can use instagram. If it is services then Instagram won't be that helpful instead use Twitter and LinkedIn.

B2B brands need to embrace the fact that marketing on Instagram is less about selling the benefits of your products and services, and more about establishing deeper connections with people including industry thought-leaders, employers, and prospective clients.

Since, like you mentioned, a large percentage of the audience for sites like Instagram and Pinterest are female, if the business you're targeting happens to be owned by a female, go for it.

However, the very best platform for B2B is still LinkedIn.

I believe that it is technically possible, but maybe not very effective. I mean, the general purpose of social media is usually to create some kind of dialouge between the company and its customers. That's why its so useful in B2C-relationships.

However, B2B-relationships usually have this dialouge already, in the form of face-to-face conversations between salespeople. There's no need for a B2B company to interact with its suppliers or vendors on a social network.

But if you really wanna implement social media as a B2B-company, I believe that Linkedin would be a much better choice of platform.

B2B is sort of like building your address book and contact list. One of the best platform to execute this strategy is via instagram and LinkedIn.
