Yeah, Setting up a Fan page under your user account is one of the best thing you can make in Facebook, and update it regularly. Also try to do a user account and Business listing in Google+, it can help you.

First off, try to understand the very essence of social media marketing. What is social media marketing? What are the differences between different social media sites and how can you use them to your advantage? If you can answer these questions, you can make decisions more easily because you would have a general idea on the consequences of each little action you make. Usually, people have problems with the success of their social media marketing because they simply make accounts, a few content, and then hope for the best.

Ya know, this is a good thread.

One question I always ask when considering the vehicle for marketing/advertising is; Do I use it for business?

For example - the newspaper? the radio? Facebook? LinkedIn? Twitter?

In other words, does others business advertising on those vehicles affect me?

Just something to consider.

There are some, most specially if the advertiser is within the area. Certain local centered advertising.

Post useful, unique and informative content which can be useful for your targeted audience. So that new people can visit your profile and their visits can be converted in business transactions.

It is very easy to use a social media. You just have to create a fan page from your profile and try to get as many likes as you can. You should have some updates regularly in that fan page to keep people interested.

I agree with this strategy! Get out, start networking & building relationships, make connections, participate in discussions & start answering some questions. Be patient, consistent & you'll start seeing the fruits of your hard work pay off.

I agree Internet Marketing takes time and needs strategy. Make a network with relevant people!! Remember internet marketing is not for everybody, If you do it for all, you won't get anybody. I mean that IM is primarily to attract the people who we see as a potential customers. So better to focus on them rather than making it generalized.
