Default Reversing Keywords In Domain

my desired keyword domain is gone but if i reverse the keywords its available

so for example recliningsofa.com is gone but sofareclining.com is available

would the spiders read them the same for seo benefits?

I personally wouldn't buy the reverse domain. You have to consider usability and readability too. I would see if mykeywordphrase.com is available. So MyRecliningSofa.com. I see a lot of people using now too...so RecliningSofaNow.com.

Ryan is giving you good advice. A URL that is easy to remember and relevant is more important than worrying about the SEO of the URL.

Remember that in addition to more hits = more sales, that all search engines are going to rank your site higher if you are getting lots of traffic, whatever the URL. The "SEO perfect" URL that makes no sense to your customer is ultimately going to be worse for your bottom line than a more human friendly but less SEO perfect URL.

If you are targeting keywords, then reclining-sofa.com is an option.

Default keywords in url

the problem with hyphens is that people don't always remember to use them and reclining-sofa might easily lose visitors to recliningsofa, same thing with recliningsofas. I would favour myrecliningsofa as a reasonable alternative in this example.

I'd agree, that's why I specifically said "If you are targeting keywords".

Users remembering the url is obviously important but the other thing to keep in mind is that your domain name is also a reflection on your brand. Is the domain name consistent with your company name and the message you are trying to build? Never ruin your image over getting a few keywords in a domain name. SEO is obviously very important but it doesn't come before your business name.

For all the time I have been working on website and SEO (with several sites on page one of Google) I can't see the benefit of keywords in the URL. Sorry... not saying that they don't help in some strange way... but it's something that I just never paid a lot of attention to... not has anyone provided solid proof that they work. Besides, there are so many other facets to SEO, I think you're bustin' your but with it.

If it's really, really important... try things like adding words in front or behind the name, like:

myrecliningsofa
yourrecliningsofa
recliningsofaonline

Just some quick thoughts.

Hope this helps! Good luck!

No spiders will not treat them the same for SEO benefits. It used to be that Google gave you a huge boost for exact match domains, but since the Mayday update many are now saying that the effects of even exact match domains has been diminished.

I would pick a domain that applies to your niche and is easy to remember, easy to spell, easy to type, and as short as possible. Best case, the domain name is going to help you rank for one exact match keyword phrase. Other than that, you can get the same boost pretty much by having the keyword phrase in the folder name or file name portions of the URL.

I'd definitely go with reclining-sofa.com.....so you'll come in second when a search for reclining sofa is conducted.

or try therecliningsofa.com

Keep us posted!
