I have to admit that this
Entrepreneurship doesn’t always run in the family. More than half (51.9 percent) of respondents were the first in their families to launch a business.
surprised me more than any other.
While my father was the first in his family to start his own business, myself and one brother did the same. (The other guy married a girl who started her own business - does that count?
) But nobody I know whose parents weren't self employed has ever even considered it, preferring, as one friend put it, to take the easy option and be a slave for 40 or so years.
