Lightbulb Advertise Through Cell Phone

I just started small business in a small town. Advertising in Yellow pages book will take months to be printed. Creating webpage takes time and money. Is it an easy way distributing my advertisement to a customer cell phone?

Well, it can! And yes it is easy but it all depends to your phone unit. And also it would be much faster using desktop view.

It depends.

If you want to advertise on mobile websites you can use Google adwords to target mobile phone users. You can do this rather cost efficiently by matching your daily budget and the cpc. If you are selling a product it is probably best to stick to search ads and leave content networks alone.

If you want to send SMSs then it is a bit different. You will need to acquire your own opt in list and send them messages at your convenience. The cost to send one SMS is between 3 cents and 10 cents depending on the provider.

I hope this answers your question. If you could be more specific (industry, site, etc...) I am sure you will have a better answer.

I was in the same situation as you when we started our company and didn't want to wait around to get business. I do, however, think that distibuting advertising info. via cell phone can be tricky. To kill the dead time before your website gets up and popular and your yellow pages gets published I would suggest going old school with some face to face marketing. Most people don't suggest that on here, but it is still the best source of advertising, obviously depending on your industry.

It depends a lot on the type of business you have started and you should select the advertising media which may be compatible with your business and there are many organizations which provide paid services for advertising on cell phones but you should check the feasibility of such media.

Hi odisw,

Mobile adverting is a very good way to reach the targeted customers if you have a very quality data of customers. The data of customer's information is the important key to have a successful mobile advertising campaign.

There are two main ways to promote your product through a mobile phone. You can have a direct relationship with your campaign with a service like my business textimize.com or you can have an indirect approach with your campaign with a service like admob.com which allows you to broadcast your message on a banner based on your target group.

It all depends on the niche that you are in and the cost that will be charged by your mobile operator.
If your campaign is not well targeted you may end up losing more money than if you invest in a website.
