I have noticed more people have been joining up, then their first post is them trying to sell their products/services. I classed this as spam. I have noticed this more the last month or so.
Otherwise everything is great.

I cannot say I have ever noticed that much spam here, comapred to the gardening forum I run (although we do strip out links until they have done 10 posts so it does not upset my users)

There are people talking about their products and websites but isnīt that what this forum is for?

Help with SEO and marketing, naturally people want advice on their own websites

I love you all here anyway, donīt know where I would be today without you guys XXXXXXXXXX

Yes this forum is also to promote services and such, I was meaning people who create an account and only do a post in the introductions plugging their products. Or the only advice they give is their product/service information.
This should be a place for opinions, advice and information not a place where the only purpose someone joins is to promote their business.

Well I`m pretty new there and I haven`t noticed spam posts. vBulletin boards aren`t spammed because they have good antispam features. Keeping a forum clean of spammer is very important because users don`t like forums with too many spam posts.

I would like to say 'Good job' to the moderators of this forum. No spam! I know some nasty forums where it's simply impossible to find new posts - hundreds of spam posts. It's so annoying.

To what extend can a message be considered as a spam? Who can say that a certain text is unwanted and nobody wants it? Can you speak for all people's interest? Are you sure that the judgment of someone is not different from the rest of the community?

Technically spam is defined based on the forum rules members agree to.

I agree with you regarding people's perspective. That's why we asked. Thanks for the feedback from everyone, keep it coming!

Every once in a while I see someone trying to spam. But for the most part I think you are doing a good job from keeping the spam off of the forum. It's impossible to keep it all off of here.
