Submitting Sites Vs Letting It Be Crawled
Like to get some other opions on this. I have spoken to many webmasters about this, 90% of them say there is no need to submit your site, that it will be crawled naturally faster.

I guess there is no harm in submitting sites to google. Somtimes it takes very long time for google to find your site..

Some of the webmasters I have spoken to about this subject have multiple sites (of course) most of them say it took longer for their site to appear on google search engine, than the sites they let be crawled naturally. I know it doesnt make much sense but they swear by it. I'm trying it with google on my new site. I did submit with yahoo, but since yahoo is my web hoster, it does it automaticly.

I also think you can still take time to submit to search engines especially if your site is fairly new and hasn't been indexed. These methods are free, and would not hurt your site's rankings.

submitting doesn't hurt, what would be the use of submission form on search engine if you wouldn't use it? of course without submission your sites will definitely get indexed naturally because of spiders, but another "BUT".. how long will it take, the exact time? no guessing... of course no one can answer this, so in short we are just giving our own conclusions on what may happen, so in the end the answer was still yours on what to believe..

I think it's far better just to submit it to reddit, jumptags and clipmarks. These three sites work extreamly well for me.

What you are saying seams logical to me too, but my sources are very reliable, and they swear that 'nowadays' let the site be crawled... perhaps something to do with the amount of sites that are submitted daily, I don't know....but again they swear they have done their own research on this with multiple sites and the sites they let be crawled statisticly shown up faster.

Well i never submit own site to search engines. i just like to Use Social bookmarking to get index fast in Search engines, and always i get very good results, But if you are going to submit your site to search engines, then its A Risk, that then its all depend on them when they gonna crawl your site...
So always let Search engines find your site naturally :-)

There is no need to submit build a couple of links and Google will follow them.
Over social bookmarking I would target sites that are likely to bring you actual traffic that is relevant to your website/business in the first instance, or failing that do both.
