Default Black Hat SEO???

Hi,

Black Hat search engine optimization is defined as unethical techniques that are used to get higher search rankings.

It is not recommended but I am finding people are doing it and being said that it is effective for short term. People use black hat tactics to get instant ranking and traffic for particular time period which is the best for their business. For example people are selling such products which are in demand at the time of Christmas so they might use black hat to get high ranking and traffic for short term to get benefit of Christmas days.

What do you think about it?

Totally agree with you. But black hat, for me, is a lot about the person. Personally, using black hat techniques is like stealing, some people are ok doing it, I'm not.

Black hat SEO techniques are used by many webmasters to achieve their target in no time. Now the search engines have become very strict and if it found that spammy techniques are being used then your site may be penalized. SEO is a very slow process and it takes time to get good results in SERP .

Black Hat SEO is certainly something that only appeals to a certain proportion of individuals. One important rule they should follow is to have expendable domains that they don't mind losing since they may get de-indexed if spotted. If so they just move on to the next thousand domains that will be used until they're burned.

Blach Hat SEO is an easy and tempting way to get your sites banned in Search Engines. It might give you some fast results but not worth taking the risk of getting banned.

Default Tempting?

If you are in it for the short-term, that's one way.
But it's really a question of ethics. I'd advise against it.

Black hat methods are to be avoided in optimizing for a site because your site might get penalized and banned by the search engines. This is also not advised for long term and does not contribute to the growth of your site.

Many blackhat techniques are effective in the short term. That is at least until it becomes saturated and everyone starts doing it or the search engines catch on. If your goal is to have sustainable, long term rankings and authority, I'd recommend you stick with the "whitehat" methods and not risk getting banned.

As far as blackhat being illegal, I've never seen anyone brought up on charges for keyword stuffing or cloaking. Unethical maybe, illegal probably not

It's a question of perspective as well what some call black hat others do not... don't be afraid of trying PPC, it should help inform your SEO strategy moving forward if you do the job well.
