Help, My Website Isn't Selling My Services.
I run an on-site computer repair business out of my home in Coquitlam, British Columbia Canada. I have lots of people finding my site through search engines typing relent search terms. For example, here are some things that people have googled this month:
Computer repair Coquitlam, Coquitlam laptop repair, dell laptop repair Coquitlam, computer repair port moody, Coquitlam computer repairs, etc.
But not very many customer's are biting. Many are even leaving once they hit the home page. Does anybody have any suggestions as to what i can do to get more business from my website. Here's a link to my home page: ClickRight Computer Solutions.

Marketing help on your website
Dear Tweak,
I reviewed your site briefly, it is informative, you list your services, rates, coverage area, all the things they need to know about your services. Here is the conversion problem. If my computer is having problems,I am looking to solve that problem, basically my hair is on fire. Take a differnent angle, maybe post a left hand how to e-book titled " 10 easy steps to fix most computer problems" enter your e-mail and name. In your e-book keep it short and give them some simple steps to fix problems, you know the restore stuff etc. This does several things,
1) you are now viewed as a helpful expert (position)
2) You have gotten contact info from your visitor - (prospect)
3) Your different from your competition. ( I am sure they aren't doing this)
4) you can now market to them, chances are when they can not fix it they will call you.
Another item you can consider is a Guarantee plus. Down time is a big issue with most home and business users so consider a Guarantee plus on your home page.
Like "your computer repaired in 24hrs or your next call is Free" or something like that. Just make sure it is doable and it goes beyond the normal satisfaction guarantees.
I hope this was helpful.

Thanks wkline2, I'll definitely look into that. I already have a PDF titled "Top 10 Computer Tips to Keep Your Computer (and Yourself) Happy" so I might put that up temporarily.
As far as the guarantee plus, I'll have to think about over the next couple days.

Here are some ideas you may want to consider:
1. Remove some information in your homepage. This includes the list of things that you do. Put it in your "Services".
Remove the boxes "What's New" and "Important Links & News". Seriously, if a customer is having a problem with their computer, are these information matters to them? You know the answer to that.
2. Change your headline. The "Welcome to ClickRight..." is not helping you at all.
They really don't care about what's the name of your company. They want to know IMMEDIATELY (8 seconds or less) if you can help them.
Use a headline like:
"Are You Frustrated With Your Personal Computer?"
"Give Me 10 Minutes And I'll Fix Your Computer At The Comfort Of Your Home!"
3. Use the full name in your testimonials. "James S." won't cut it. Ask for a more specific testimonials. Like
"ClickRight fixed our computers within 22 minutes and at a fraction of what most company do. It's running again like brand new."
4. Put a large "Call Us Now at ..." at the top and bottom page.
Think like a salesman and you'll sell more.

hi Tweakerxp
The comments by wkline2 and JonOrana arg great. Implementing what they said should defenetly improve the conversions.
Like they mentioned, when someone needs their computer fixed they have no time to browse arround.
Most important, clean up your landing page.. usualy wisitors will give you up to 10 seconds to show them you can fix their problem.
Work on your headline... tell them what you can and will do for them.
I.e... JonOrana gave you a very good example.
regarding the pdf you have, brake it up in 5 -6 parts (as many as you think necessery), create a tab "Computer FIX Tutorials" or something similar and paste those 5-6 tutorilas for the customer to use and try to fix the comp. like someone mentioned this will show them that you are a professional and that you are trying to help them. on beginning and end of those tutorials call for action.. say something like: If this does not fix you computer contact us for a FREE quote or something you see fit your business...
on your landing page use a good tag line and also call for action. People respond to calls to action in most cases..
Search on google for websites offering similar service to yours, see how their landing page looks like, do they call for action? what is their tag line?
This will give you some ideas.
Just remember that customers donc care about me, you or anyone else... they care what you can do for them.. now show and tell them.
Hope this helps
Alem

You are making a blunder. Now you have two pages with similar content one is clickright.ca and another one is clickright.ca/index2.html. You have not used any meta name="Robots" content="no index,no follow" attribute in index2.html and it has been cached by Google. Better remove it as soon as possible otherwise; you might get penalized by Google for duplicate content issue.

Thanks for the heads up, I totally forgot about it and left the page up. I've removed it now and I'll try and finalize it and make it my new homepage this week.

Take a look at your competition and see what's different about your site and theirs and what would attract you to contacting the service as opposed to your site.

Hello tweakerxp,
For me there's too much info there, too crowded, too many things to think about and it doesn't make me want to close the deal.
I would work on the copywriting and the design, focus on what I want my clients to understand, invite them to talk to me and focus on convincing them I do a great job at the best cost.
To sum up, simplify and focus.
Best,
Ina
