ONPAGE Optimization Question

Setting meta tags, keywords, title, meta description properly and publishing unique content are known as ONSITE SEO... Is there anything which I have missed here under ONSITE SEO?

Yes, tons. Unique content must also incorporate keywords, focus on your target audience and include a call to action. Anchor link text needs to be carefully considered and crafted and should point to other optimized pages on your site. The architecture of your site is important as well. Page load speed should also be taken into consideration, so code should be clean and images and scripts optimized.

On Page SEO should also include
1)Search Engine friendly URLs
3)Internal linking between the pages in the site. Internal linking must be done wherever required such that google does not spam it.The major pages of your site must be linked to your homepage.
4)Creation of sitemap is important so that all your web pages are indexed by search engines
3)Make sure that your html code is free of errors and warnings

I think Meta tags have little or no value to search engines nowadays. Yet it would not hurt if you have them though.

Although most has been covered above but just to elaborate a bit, URLs can contain 1-2 keywords and should not have many parameters with ? marks. Better prefer static URLs

1. Google Analytic s
2. Google Webmaster Tool
3. Google Maps
4. Creation of sitemap and submit to Google and Yahoo Search Engine.
5. Search Engine friendly URLs

Hi,
Meta Description tag is still important because most of the times Google pulls relevant snippet from this tag. Meta keywords tag isn't much important in eyes of Google. However, I read on SEOMoz that yahoo still gives important to meta keyword tag.

We have never had problems with not having SEF urls.

Dont use too much flash!!!!!!

Dont just embed a video!!!

Better to use transitional dtd!!!!
