Default another 5 please!

it has helped with encouragement when nothing seemed to be improving, and specialist knowledge about the goog, yahoooo and the other one (!), technical workarounds like redirects, and indirectly in seeing how lots of other small businesses and individuals do their own sites.

More recently: useful discussions about social networking.

here's to the next 5 years

I have so appreciated the great advice, the chance to meet others in the web design/seo/copywrite industries, and the KINDNESS this forum offers. A gentle bunch!

Default Congrats

Five years in Web time is an accomplishment! It's sites like these that empower the small business owner to be able to compete with the big boys, and emphasize quality.

I've been a lurker, now becoming a poster, so congrats.

Top banana from Spain, Chris Logan has been my rock and introduced me to this forum, without Chris Logan I would have ended up being a Black Hat SEO and probably not have learnt anything, I look to Chris for all my SEO guidance, especially on the larger projects I am now getting involved in.

In fact, one of the websites I was optimising took a very large order last week, we are kitting out the African government with communications, there is no way I could have done that without the Logan

I salute you!

That goes for the forum as well.

When we were just starting I asked Jennifer (who already had years of forum experience and had been the admin of a major forum) who would be the one person that we absolutely had to have involved for the forum to succeed and she said, Chris Logan.

She was sooo right.

Everyone would be amazed if they knew how much time Chris spends helping people and working on the forum...

  • Chris works with the moderators (who are all volunteers) to be sure their time can be spent helping people and not having to deal with admin stuff.
  • Chris fights the never ending battle to keep out human and automated spammers. (That's a full time job by itself)
  • Chris receives all of the "help" and "comments" email.
  • Chris locates problems (technical or otherwise) with the forum and helps get them fixed.
  • And Chris handles about a zillion other unexpected items that pop up each day.
5 years is a long time to keep a forum running smoothly and growing and we wouldn't be celebrating a 5 year anniversary if not for Chris.
