Default I Want 2 Start My Own Plastics Marketing Company

I work for a blown film plastics manufacturer and have been paying close attention to some of the orders that come through my company lately .
Many comapanies order from us and have us ship to other companies on there behalf and even have reorder instructions telling them to reorder from them and not us .
So I want in on this but haven't got a clue as to how to break into this simply takeing orders and having others fill it and poceting the profit .
Any and all advise would be helpful.

It's called "drop shipping." The seller acquires the customer, makes the sale, and the manufacturer (or distributor) ships the good directly to the customer on the seller's behalf.

Good drop shippers will ship "blind" -- that is, the packaging doesn't reveal in any way that the order came from anyone other than the seller.

Good drop shippers will not attempt to poach the seller's customers. Even though they have full access to the customers' contact information and what they've ordered, they'll respect the seller's relationship with the customer and keep hand's off.

Good drop shippers know that making the seller's business successful helps keep them successful, so they'll only ship high quality merchandise that lives up to its description, that's well packed and that's sent out on time.

They do this because they know the seller is the one doing the hard part -- recruiting the customer, closing the sale, and providing customer support. Meanwhile, the drop shipper can focus on the things they do well -- making (or acquiring) the product, packing and shipping.

Are you looking to get into the business as a drop shipper or as a seller?

Then you're looking for manufacturers who will drop ship for their resellers. Some will, some won't. You can pay some money to get access to directories of drop ship suppliers, or you can identify manufacturers you'd like to work with and approach them directly to see if they'd be willing to drop ship. You might be pleasantly surprised to find some who are.

Be sure if you do decide to go into business with a manufacturer that you have a written agreement in place spelling out all the details of the relationship, who owns the customer data, that sort of thing.

yes, some manufacturers do not accept drop shipping because there is no guarantee on the production qty.
