Default Seeking Advice On Which Website Host To Choose

I am researching all aspects of launching a e-commerce website from where I will start selling new products I am producing.

I am trying to find a great website hosting company and would value any advice offered.
My top criteria are, in order:
1) Scores high on all the basics: solid security and checkout setup, excellent up-time, fantastic disk space and monthly traffic limits, great customer support;
2) Excellent website building tools and tutorials for the technically pathetic; and
3) Reasonably priced.

Now, I've discovered two possible candidates: Inmotionhosting.com, and Netfirms.com. Each were rated very highly at ConsumerSearch.com and Webhostinggeeks.com, respectively, although the fact that neither mentioned BOTH companies leaves me a bit worried.

Anything you can tell me about these candidates would be greatly appreciated, or if you can recommend someone even better, I'm all ears!

Thank you,
Jeff (Quasta)

Jeff - I used Netfirms for a client's website and I can highly recommend them. Fast customer service, easy interface, reasonable pricing.

I have heard that GoDaddy is a good company that automates many processes - especially in regards to SEO.

I use Hostgator's $7.95 Unlimited account and am actually hosting over 60 different types of websites for self and clients, no problems, has everything you want and excellent service and support.

I personally use lunarpages. Very easy to work with. You might want to shy away from godaddy. Navigating their administration can be difficult at times, and I've heard the customer support is not the best.

Default Choose one of the big

I have used hostgator, godaddy and most recently Domain.com and domain.com has been the best I've seen, easy to use and extremely reliable.

I'd steer clear of Godaddy for sure, they nickle and dime you every chance they get, but their customer service is generally good...it really just depends on the agent who answers your call. Inmotion hosting is pretty helpful when you call in, though I never actually started hosting with them, I eventually signed up at fatcow.com after using godaddy and I have to say that Fatcow blew Godaddy away as far as both ease and simplicity of use...Though now I host my website...

Does it usually take you 3 months to respond to a request?
