Post "Bing" Is Up...

For those of you not familiar, bing.com is Microsoft's new search engine, which will attempt to have a go at Google's search dominance.

My website got its first visit from a bing search this morning. I gave the service a quick spin myself, not too shabby. It also have a pop-up feature on right-hand side, which gives a longer summary of the page you're hovering your mouse over.

I've been watching the chatter on twitter. Jill Whalen is commenting that the search engine still provides crappy, irrelevant results. Most everyone else just seems to be checking them out. Will be interesting to watch.

Looks like Bing is off to a good start -

It will be interesting to see how these results hold up after the hype has worn off.

So how is Bing different for the "old" MSN search? Besides the look, how is it different when it comes to indexing sites?

That was momentary/very temporary. Don't be influenced by stats over such a small timeframe. Regardless, Google's lead is ridiculous.

eww, good question. there is very little different. They have introduced a new brand and interface, but that doesn't change the game.

90% are using Google for searching online.Bing is going to have a hard time breaking that trend.

Well Bing is a complete failure, more particularity a fiasco from Microsoft. In most of the cases they are showing irrelevant result and often a lot of errors. I have written an article on this topic. You can check that too:
