Have you tried FreeFind? (http://www.freefind.com)

Google Custom Search is actually a great tool to integrate into your website in order to available site visitors to search for the content that they are looking for.

Get Google Custom Search here: http://www.google.com/cse

All you need to do is to answer a few questions, fill up a few forms and Google will give you the code to be pasted on your site.

Default RE:Search Box For Website ???

Have you tried checking out HotScripts.com. There are tons of free scripts over there. I've been able to find almost everything I ever needed for my website.

I was able to create one using Yahoo since that is where my site is hosted. So check with who ever hosts your site.
