Default How Do I Know If I Have Enough Content Or If It Is Good?

I keep reading the Google wants good content and lots of it, but what is good content and how much do they want? How do I know if my sites meet their requirements for content? They seem good to me and my friends who reviewed my sites liked them, but that doesn't mean Google likes them. I'm confused

I have been told to cater to your guests/customers and give them what they are seeking. If you do this Google will follow.
I also hear that constantly adding new content is good. So there is never an end to the quality content that you present on your website.

There is no black and white as to what good content is. Write content with your visitors in mind. A good way to get ideas is go to a place like yahoo answers and do a search for questions that relate to your field, lamps or piano lessons. Scroll through this and see if you can find a couple of questions that keep popping up. If so, now you have a good idea of the types of things people would like to know and write articles to answer those questions.

As to frequency. I personally would have a blog and add to it at minimum of twice a week. This will get the spiders coming back to your sites frequently and they will realize you're a site that publishes on a regular basis which they do like.

So write about things people in your target market want to know about, and do it twice a week and you should be good!

That's a good idea yet so obvious. It is also a lot easier than pestering your guests for ideas. I guess "keep it simple stupid" still holds true

There is no limit, the more you can write good content that is interesting to read and is helpful, the better it is.Some bloggers make just one long article per week, while others post shorter posts everyday.

Google doesn't have any hard-and-fast "standards" of what constitutes "good content" or "enough content." It's not like you have a website with 99 pages of content and Google says, that's not "enough" content for us to be happy with you, but when you create that 100th page of content, all of a sudden you shoot up to the top of the rankings because you've passed some Google threshold for "enough" content.

Does your content address the interests and needs of your site visitors? Does it relate to your products or services? Does it work to generate additional business for you? Does it appropriately incorporate the search phrases people use when they're seeking what you offer? Does it cover all potentially relevant topics associated with your product or service? Is it coherent, unique, well-written and grammatically correct? Does each page include a call to action and guide visitors toward your most-desired response?

If so, then it's good content.

As to how much is "enough", that's a bit like asking "how long is a piece of string?"

When you've said everything that ever needs to be said about your product or service, then you've got "enough." As long as there's something additional you can say, or old information that's changed and needs to be updated, then you're not done yet.

There's really no such thing as a "finished" website, IMO.

The term good content refers to a content which is written for the sake of writing a piece of content with proper grammar. You should always insert keywords in them that should not obstruct the natural flow of the content. It should be keywords in content and not content in keywords.

I guess when you say "Good" content means a lot of people are reading your blog, you get tons of visits, people click links to get to your site... then google will love you.

I think you should not limit yourself to word "enough content". You should try to add more and more quality content that your readers want to read and search engines loves to index..
