As most of you know, LinkedIn is a highly ranked social networking site with over 35 million members.

For those of you with a profile there, there is a place for listing your website. Most people just place their actual URL there.

However, if you go in to edit your website, you will see that there is a drop-down box next to where you enter your site info. If you choose "other" you can then enter the keywords related to your site as anchor text linked to your site.

While we are talking about LinkedIn, it is also a good idea to change your public profile URL to your full name or company name as well.

Just my little 2 cents.

Brilliant tip! I haven't seen this mentioned anywhere else before. Thanks for pointing it out.

I haven't done this one before, with what you said it seem to be very useful in marketing campaign and also building links, I'll play around with their site for a while and try to experiment on results.. thanks a lot!

yep, I already have put my site there. However, is there any other tactics to promote your website on LinkedIn?
