I do not know why some people are making such clamor about Twitter. I personally think that it is a craze. I think people are giving undue attention to it.

Fair play. I know many a business person who feels the way you do.

It's hard to argue with the growth numbers in my industry which is marketing. We have to know where people and their eyeballs are going to be. It could be undeserved attention but attention nonetheless.

I agree. A friend of mine convinced me of the potential of Twitter as a marketing tool - no easy feat. But he showed me hard numbers which were hard to argue against. And while I won't be badmouthing Twitter anymore, I'm also not ready to jump on the Twitter bandwagon.

Why? Because in order to make time to use Twitter effectively, I would have to drop another marketing method that is very profitable for me.

That doesn't make good business sense to me. I'm not going to do that. In the future, if one of the methods I'm currently using reaches a point of diminishing returns, I'd be willing to give Twitter a shot.
