Was anybody had any bad experience with copyright issues? Share with the group.

I haven't but you've got to remember that legally it depends on your location. Different countries have different laws on the subject.

I'm in Australia and I believe (though I'm not a lawyer) that copyright remains with the creator of the logo unless someone has specifically purchased the copyright of the artwork.

I think this would be the case if specifically contracting a designer to create a logo, rather than contracting them to create a brochure or website, that happens to 'make use' of that logo.

Of course anything can be disputed in court, so the outcomes are rarely black and white.

I'd love to get some legal clarification on this though.
