Default How Do You Record Interviews?

Hey everyone,

My name is Justin, and I'm new to the forum. I just recently started a new venture called The Small Business MBA, which aims to educate small business owners on new business strategies and directs them to the right resources to implement these strategies.

I will be interviewing business experts and want to record them to include them on my blog and newsletters. What's the best way to record interviews (that are not done in person)? Thanks!

Justin

For interviews there are a few solutions. Using Skype along with a recorder (there are a few, I've only used Pamela so far), using a service like Audio Acrobat (you cand do interviews over the phone and record them without buying equipment), or buying over the phone recording equipment that physically attaches to the phone to record.

Thanks, guys -- I actually have been using Free Conference Call, and it works pretty effectively if you wan to check it out.

For interviewees, I contact them, and see if we can set up a time for the interview. Once they agree to it, I just give them the call-in number.

Just to add that I have recently been using Skype and a free software called Call Graph for recording. Works very well and it's easy and free.

Hi JCWHong,

You can find call recording option with virtual PBX services for quality and training purposes, you can record all conversations on your extensions without any software running on your computer.

Call recording feature will help to record your phone calls and you can download these recorded phone calls into your PC. I am using this virtual PBX service and its working fine for me and my business.

I've also used freeconferencecall.com with success although the quality could be a bit clearer. Still, it's easy and free.

I use Free Conference Call and Skype both. They have worked great to date. Call Graph is a free resource tool that you also may want to check out.
