When I first started blogging, I had to choose between Blogspot and Wordpress. At first, I was leaning towards blogspot because one of the blogs that I had been following used Blogspot. After about a year, it successfully sold for $15K.

But I kept seeing more templates, mods and articles on Wordpress, so I went with that.

I just watched the Izeafest interview where some of the top web monetizers, including Shoemoney, John Chow, and Neil Patel, mentioned that they all use Wordpress, so I feel happy with my decision.

However, as evidence by my first paragraph, you can be successful either way

Default Wordpress

I was confused when I initially started as well, but once I tried the free Wordpress to familiarize myself with it and I liked it right away. Initially I was apprehensive because there was no one specific dept to contact for support as a newbie but I soon learned that everyone in the forums are very helpful and knowledgeable individuals.

Hope this helps.
Marta

Default Wordpress: No-Follow?

Is Wordpress no-follow or not? I've heard both, and then I heard you have to install a Wordpress plugin to remove the no-follow attribute from your blog.
What about b2evolution, anyone know about the no-follow issue?

I like Wordpress. I believe Wordpress is Do-Follow. I believe you need to add a plugin to make it no-follow. Wordpress.com, where you can set up a free Wordpress blog similar to the Blogger service may be different. Wordpress is really easy to use and its wealth of plugins and themes make it the Firefox of the blogging world.
