Smile Planning On Applying ," Zero Dollars A Little Talent And Thirty Days" To My Project.

Since I am planning on applying the principle of "Zero Dollars a Little Talent and Thirty Days" to my project, I also plan on giving myself a handicap advantage. So I’m using little or no dollars which is under $300. In all honesty this is more a reflection of my situation, as opposed to intellectual choice. If I could start with a million or more in capital I would. So I’m playing the cards I have, so to speak.

Even still, I think you still have to consider that on the simple fact that I have a collection of Mac based equipment that I started the project with, and that I’ve been kicking around this project for some time in the non-internet world; that in itself, gives me an advantage but I’m assuming that many people must meet a minimum level of capital equipment and tech savvy to include either illustrative/graphics ability or programing skills.

Since I don’t have a public following of a kind like Jennifer Laycock I think that flexibility is warranted. Public reputation is a bankable asset so therein lies a substantial advantage as far as I’m concerned. None the less I feel that her project demonstrated substantial merit, though I felt there were many instances of informational overload and organizational helter-skelter and especially instances of what I would call “Over simplification and glossing over unrecognized intellectual and capital subsidies.” But this all leads to setting up for seminars where she can explain her plan more clearly for a better profit and I can respect that.

On considering her project blog – Jennifer Laycock, Editor of Search Engine Guide – did have her critics. They felt that her experiment was not fair and to that disposition I agree and respect their points. However I have one caveat that comes to mind when I think of Voltaire, the French philosopher (1694-1778) who said something like this,”Of course the game is rigged, but you can’t win if you don’t play”. (By the way, if I have this wrong please let me know because I would like to get the correct reference on that quote.)

None the less I’ve given myself a warm up lap that I will layout in a future blog post, today or tomorrow.

Right now the coffee here at the River Maiden Coffee shop (one of my favorite coffee shops in the Northwest) is finished off and I’m ready to seize the rest of the day checking out quads.

PS: Now I also don’t count the cost of coffee and gas to get it as part of my project experiment cost, because I’d be having coffee anyway, although I would say that coffee shops tend to be where I hang out often to work on my blogging or graphics and general file maintenance.

Smile Thanks

Thanks I'm just going to feel my way through it and see if what has been written on the subject by Jennifer Laycock works for my project. She consistently touted - in her 30 day article - the approachability and helpfulness of the online world and the virtues of getting involved in forums and especially the "Small business Ideas Forum". So as I put my project together online I will be blogging about my results as I try out web tactics and strategies outline in her 30 Days project.
