Default E-Book Newbie Needs Help

Hello there bloggers!
I am writing some business advisory materials that are candidates for on line sale and delivery. I am trying to decide between e-book and a pay-for access web site

Can anyone point me to a link that is a "how to" for folks like me that would like to sell their information on line through an e-book or restricted access web site? All comments /advice / input welcomed
Thanks from Jonathan

Just a quick note to let you know (if you didn't already ) you there is a good oscommerce addon for managing downloads so you could always have your own ecommerce ebook shop as well.

You could take a look at my sites just to see how one ebook publisher does it... also, I would look at both the payloadz.com and e-junkie.com sites to see options for fulfilling your orders... I've tried both of the services and find they seem to work...

Hi,

I actually do support for E-Junkie, and would be willing to help you and answer your questions, if you have any in particular.

I know it's hard when you're at point A and know where point Z is but don't know how to get there

How often are your materials going to change? Will you be continuously updating and adding information, or will it be fairly static content?

From my experience it's best to do a membership type (pay-for-access) when the content changes often enough so that your customers stay members of the site.

In this instance you can also afford to lower your sign up price to make it more appealing, since you have a good chance of keeping cutsomers from month to month and sometimes getting more than you originally forecasted.

You can also do a one-time fee for access, which would be about the same as selling an e-book like you had mentioned.

In regard to the "how to" portion of your question, shoot me an email or PM and I can give some suggestions.
