Question How can I save my rankings on MSN ?

Hi all,
I am not sure if its only me whos having this problem or there are others too who are facing it too. But after the BETA MSN search completion I've been regularly monitoring my websites rankings and have noticed a 'considerable drop' or even in some cases 'totally gone' (meaning:far, far, far down below).

But what bothers me the most is that the sites are successful in almost all SE's, except for the new MSN. Besides, these sites used to get on MSN top 10# or pretty decent rankings prior to the new MSN search algorithm.

Now the problem is that, I am pretty confused as to what should be my plan of action ? so as to improve the rankings on MSN without disrupting any on the others. What things should I do or perform fine tunning or probably impliment something inorder to achive better rankings on MSN ?

Now also I've waited for quite some time after the NEW realease, as there have been some imbalances and updates going on in the MSN search algorithm itself.

Please can anyone advice me, suggest or anything on how can I save my rankings on MSN. It'll be of great help to me.

Thanks in advance.

Hi Sams, what your asking is like describing a hair cut over the telephone. Everysite is different, and something that is of little impact on one algo, might impact your rankings on another.

The way I do it is to do everything that should be done, including the stuff that Google ignores, like keywords mets,h1, h2 etc. Just cover every base, have a nice navigation structure and MSN will like you.

Thanks for the reply Old Welsh Guy.
Sorry to sound like that and I very well know that "Everysite is different". Therefore, just like always am gonna take that valuable piece of your advice and implement it. Then wait and and hope for the best.
If still after all this if things dont work out I'll get back again.
Thanks again.

Default Old Welsh Guy, um...

I don't think you'd have any problems describing YOUR haircut over the phone.

Look at the competition and what they have for content for your desired keywords.

I am seeing a trend in all search engines of high ranking sites concentrating on just one subject.

From a spider view if your page is only about red widgets do not get side tracked talking with content about blue do-whops.

From a user view, they are asking, "Give me a page with all the information I need to know about red widgets."

So in your content use "Red Widgets" as often as possible without sounding like a goofball. Sometimes it is a fine line.

Don't worry about 'figuring out' MSN, or Google, or Yahoo. That will never happen. Just beat the competition.

That's a nice piece of advice. I've noticed my site has done a whole lot better now that I've focused on writing quality, original content (SEOd of course). It's been nice. I don't even use AdWords anymore.
