Default Customer Appreciation Event Ideas??

I have a specialty furniture store and our 5th annual customer appreciation is approaching but I don't want to do the same old thing. Does anybody have some ideas on what we can do to add some excitement and how to market the event????

Are you in a small urban area or a metropolitan area?

Are you asking about online or offline advertising?

Do you have a list that you will be marketing to?

What's your USP?

What's your budget?

Is your target specifically customers who have purchased before, or are you trying to attract new prospects too?

How much time do you have for planning and implementation?

This means you want to thank those customers you have and had purchased in your store, and would like to get more clients this upcoming 5th annual customer event right? Well, if I am correct then I suggest you showcase all of your new and fresh designs. This will attract both customers and prospects. Try to make some personalized gifts for them to upon entering your store. This will make them feel comfortable and accepted.

I always wonder why so many companies don't seem to value the opinions of their clients. Whether you're selling a product or service or throwing an appreciation event - what's better than asking these people what THEY would want in an event (or product or service etc...)

You can guess all you want and take the chance you'll get it wrong, or ask these folks how you could best show your appreciation and at least please a majority of the people.

Oh - and what is "the same old thing" you've done in the past?

Steve

Yes, please let us know what you've done for these event ideas.

First I'd think about the type of demographic most of your customers were in. If most had kids, I would make the event kid-friendly and have fun things for them to do/eat. If most of them were single, you could have a meet & greet & seat (lol). Yeah I'm corny but you get where I'm going with this. Think about who your customers are and give 'em what they want

Have you try some image personalization?

We do this for the auto industry/auto dealers and works great – people love to see their names embedded into some fancy pictures.

A coffee table, a kitchen appliance, a bedroom drape with something like
“Hey Sample, this is especially for you”….
