Default QuickBooks Online

Over at the Small Business Trends, Anita Cambell recently wrote an article titled: Review of QuickBooks Online.

Quote:
QuickBooks has over 3 million small businesses in the United States using the desktop version of its accounting software program.

But the big buzz these days is about online software, or as it is called, software as a service (SaaS). With SaaS, instead of installing software on your computer, you log on to the Web and use the software online. Typically you pay a monthly or annual subscription entitling you to use the latest version of the software.
Has anyone used QuickBooks Online or any other online software applications? If so, what did you think? Are you using online software or sticking with desktop versions, where you install the software onto your computer locally?

I've used quickbooks online for 4 to 5 years now, overall been happy with it and any issues I've had would have existed regardless if it was an online version. You can have more than one company associated with the account, it's easy for me to provide access to others when I want, and best of all I can access regardless of my computer or location. I can't think of a reason I would use a desktop version vs the online - and I think the trend will be people moving to online versus desktop instead of the other way around.

From $20 to $40 per month depending on the features you want/need

They do offer a free 30 day trial to take it for a spin.

Default Quickbooks on-line

I have used Quickbooks Online Edition (QBOE) and at first it took a little getting used to. Advantages are the access features which was mentioned. You don't need to be at your location. I do believe it's the future and more companies are getting online edition programs.
