Exclamation How Is YOUR Site's Adwords CTR?

What is the CTR on the adwords ads on your site?

My good friend's site gets between .5% and 5% CTR on his pages...What do you get?

Please include the url...I am very curious

Thanks,
Evan!

On average about 5% in the US, 2% in Canada because I use more generic keywords.

I'm not sure what listing the URL will do for you as the ad itself is what generates the clicks. Make sure your headline is relevant to the keywords you have targeted. I think its easier to manage using muliple campaigns with just a few keywords each.

I have sites that average 1% (forums) and others that have averaged 25% (finance information), as for me (and others) listing money making URL's for the world to see, Are you smoking something LOL

Cool. Thanks for the #'s guys.

Do you find a strong correlation between how focused a site is, and the CTR?

Thanks,
Evan

I think the correlation lies more in the way your ad is worded and put together for keyword phrases as well as the URL that it points to.Lets say you are searching how to clean a deck.. you type in "deck cleaning", which ad would you be more likely to click on?

Now if you are talking about conversion rate, then the focus of your site, the landing page and all the other rules of good design come into play.

Pressurepros,

Thats good info about CTR for an ad you make for your business. However, I was actually asking about if there is a correlation between the following:

How focused/nichey your site is
and
The % of pageviews that lead to clicks.

Thanks,
Evan

Think it all depends on how long the ads have been running and the content of the actual ad.

Default Ctr

5% is decent as far as CTR. I shoot for 10% but it varies.
