Default Starting A Link Building Campaign, Any Idea's?

This will be my first attempt at link building in anyway. I feel I have read enough about what to do and what not to do. I have a descent strategy at how to approach it.

I'm just hoping to hear your thoughts on the best way to go about this. Thank you and I hope I hear a lot more use full information.

I usually contact other webmasters of similar website topics, and ask them for a link swap. You will find that some of them will be pr*cks, but then others will be more than happy to swap with you. It's a great way to get your link included on a blog roll or something, and each page they have will give you a solid back link. Hope this helps a bit.

Start with forum posts and social bookmarking and then you can do article submissions and blog comments.

Guest posts on other people's blogs are not only a great way to build your inbound links but also your profile. If it's a post that generates a decent number of questions that you post answers to; it'll also show others that not only are you knowledgeable but helpful & friendly as well. Important in business!

Give your products as giveaways and review on blogs or youtube.
Run a contest on their website would be a great way.

Default Don't Forget Content

The best advice I can give you is, as you start your link-building campaign, don't forget to keep adding content to your site as well. Some people feel that all they have to do is to put up a small site then market the heck out of it. SEs actually give more credit per page for content on your site than a bookmark or an article on another site, assuming your site is well linked.

Of course, creating content is not easy, but it's well worth it.

Unless you are really sure you know what you're doing, it's a good idea to spend some time online and read as many tutorials / how to's / guides as you can. I don't believe there's a correct answer to your question. Link building is extremely contextual and it should be regarded as such.

Agreed with all that have said. In addition, the quality of the links and whether they are from related industries are also important.

One more word of advice for you Mike --

Don't fall into the trap of over-analysis. Don't overanalyze your situation. When yo uare new to this it is very easy to fall into the trap of constantly pondering which technique you should use. Which one is most effective? Which one is least spammy? Which one will work the fastest? Which one provides the highest impact with the least amount of effort on your part? etc...

You know you need links.

So go get them. Start right away. The sooner you get started, the faster you will see results.

Just avoid the really spammy techniques and get rolling.

As you gain some experience, you will discover which methods and techniques are best for you.

I am using that old school method in which we search for link pages of the websites, and then ask for link on their sites via email. if want to know a better and effective method because it is not producing desirable results for me.
If anyone knows about a substitute method tell me plz, i will be more then happy.
Thanks in advance.
