Default Brochures And Stuff!

Right then folks.... I need to pick your brains here

We do two types of training - in house presentation skills stuff and public courses, where we hire a room over a restaurant (or wherever) and people come to us. The former is generating huge amounts of work but the latter is unpredictable... so far it's held it's own but only just. Given the workload of the in-house work it' would make some sense to not bother but I don't want to do that for a few reasons (including taking on new staff and so on).

So far I've only advertised by networking - predominantly online. I'm toying, however with the idea of printing brochures etc and "going for it" a bit more.

The courses are entry-level courses in public speaking and making presentations. Can I pick your brains about where you think I should be sending/putting etc any such brochures? (More details if you follow this link - though note that the new website is due online in a week or so)

TIA..... Simon

I'd try a sales blitz. Are you familiar with that tactic?

Basically you take everyone you have (sales, staff, etc) and spend a day visiting a targeted market area passing out your info (almost door to door like tactic) and introducing yourself face to face. If you do a quick google search for [sales blitz] you can read more about doing this also.

Who are those people that do come to you? Are they business owners, employees, or other? If you could diagnose who primarily comes, then you could target that specific category.

I know that's kind of a no-brainer, but hopefully that helps in some way :-)

hi!
I think you should concentrate on your target group, when you say entry level courses of public speaking, are you referring to kids? Anyway, whatever is your target group, you make sure that your marketing plan is for them, make it creative, and eye catchy..
