Postcard printing can be a very effective form of marketing and can drive a high response rate when you personalize your postcards and include a Personalized URL (PURL). It's very easy to do this when you work with a printing company that has the correct technology to do so.

We have done many postcard marketing campaigns like this for many clients and they have seen higher response rates and ROIs on this method. This is the new way of postcard marketing.

I agree with Presort, the message and the recipient must be consider first before we go and start sending X number of postcards. It'll be better if you already have a mailing list of recipients. This will make sure that you are tapping the right market and come project evaluation time, tracking the success and failures will be much easier.

Nice post!! I agree with you. Post cards are good way for promotion. With EDDM, it is more effective and helps to reduce the promotional cost of your business.

Think about pre-qualifying customers before you send the post card. One way is to call them first and ask if you can send them a coupon for a free item or service. That way they'll be anticipating your postcard before they even get it and they are almost guaranteed to walk in your door.

Besides having appealing designs for a target market, another advantage is that you can narrow down the demographics of your recipients. There are postcard printing services online that also offer mailing services - you can choose the area, age and gender (depending on the available data) of those who will receive postcards.

With the postage increase, the best thing to do is carefully target your postcard mailing to make sure that you get your money's worth.
