Default I Need an E-Mail Marketing Program

Does any body know a good E-mail program?

The last year we simply bought the service, but I have suspicions that these providers are more interested in my address data-bank than in offering a good service. So we bought a special domain and server to send our e-mails.

Now we need a programm that collects the First Name Last Name and, E-mail as well as the source from which one of our forms they come from. (free subscription, reservations, free advertising, free wallpaper, permission to copy etc.)

From the cgi-bin they get an autoresponder telling them that they have to reconfirm (double opt-in) and also tell us which of the three different newsletters they want to subscribe to, or if they want to unsubscribe.

If they unsubscribe that e-mail address should be banned for good and even resubscribing should not bring it back to life.

I also would like them to get automatically the last letter that was sent out. The complete newsletter is in HTM and resident on our website, so the actual letter is only a few lines with the link to it.

Any ideas how to go about it?

Have a happy day

You may want to give http://www.listcast.com/ a spin. If that doesn't solve your problem, let us know why and maybe we can come up with a solution for you.

Default email marketing program

You may want to look into getresponse on the low end of the price spectrum, they have a frre version, but I'm not sure it has all the features you are looking for.

Constant Contact is on the high end of the price/functionality spectrum and a very popular solution.

Good Luck

I use Vertical Response and they seem to have what you are looking for.

10 years and running....still the most-loved promotional product!

I use 12all from Active Campaign and that program does all that you mentioned. Auto Responders, Broadcast, unlimited lists, etc.

I am new so they will not let me post a URL but activecampign dot com will get you there

I use and am very happy with aWeber. It is perfect for everything I use and has a nice interface. I would highly suggest against mailing from your own server using a script. There are so many things that the big autoresponder companies do behind the scenes to get email through...

If you start hosting your autoresponder on your server, and your list grows and grows, eventually it will get big enough to start getting caught in spam filters and your emails won't get through. In my opinion, paying $20/month for a good 3rd party autoresponder pays for itself with the higher email deliverability rate.

I use Aweber and Response Magic.

Response magic is the easiest to use and understand in my opinion.

It is a little cheaper each month than Aweber but they have a 5000 limit for list size.

It is great for someone just starting out...

Here is a link to an AR source that will do all that AWeber does for $ 12.97 a month, instead of $ 19.95 a month, or more. Flat fee, no matter what the volume. It includes a form builder for capturing the data, you just cut and paste the code to your pages. You can have unlimited "programs" with varying send out schedules. Unsubscribe deletes the address, so no chance of further contact.

Plus, it has an RSS Syndicator that allows you to make your material public through blogs, bypassing spam filters.

Smart Autoresponder
