Default Site Search Service

I've recently just completed my little website, http://www.jiansnet.com

I am focusing on providing effective and inexpensive hosted search service to other websites. In the future, I will also add e-commerce product search service as well.

If you have some moment, let me know what you think. In particular, here are the points I am anxious to know.

1) Is the site user friendly?

2) What you like and don't like about it?

3) What I could do to improve on it?

Thanks in advance for your valuable time!

Jian

If I were to use the service, would the search results be displayed on my domain or on the JiansNet domain? I couldn't find the answer, and it was hard to tell what the case was using your site as an example.

Hi, Logan,

Thanks so much for your comments!

Typically, the search result would be displayed on JiansNet domain as this pattern http://sitesearch.jiansnet.com/search?site=<your_site_name>&q=<keywords>

That said, you can setup a subdomain to map to JiansNet ip address. That way, the search result would be displayed as this pattern
http://sitesearch.<yourdomain>/search?q=<keywords>

I think you brought up a really good point for potential customer concerns. I will enhance my website to add the how-tos to address this.

Thanks again!

Jian
