Well, that's a very broad question. There are literally hundreds of thousands of Wordpress plugins, many of which don't have a significant impact on page speed.

But if you load your site up with unnecessary plugins for features and functionality you don't need, the accumulated mess could slow down your site even if none of the individual plugins is a problem on its own. Not to mention the potential security risk having all those unnecessary plugins could present.

What do you want plugins to do, specifically? Narrow down the field of what exact kind of plugins you're looking for and we might be able to give you some reasonable recommendations.

Sorry, but as it is, your question is unanswerable.

It would have been better if you would specify the requirement for the plugin you need.

I agree with the others, that's a really vague question. If you mean a general sense of plugins, here are a few I like to use right off the bat:

Contact Form 7
Really Simple SSL
Wordfence Security
W3 Total Cache
EWWW Image Optimizer

Other than that, you need a plan on what you want the site to do functionally, for anyone to give you better advice.

It depends on what your site needs! But some of the essentials that every site should have are YOAST (for SEO), Backup Buddy, and WPForms.

My suggestion is paid(premium) version of plugin is best and safe for website design and development. So you can try paid version.
