Default WAHM - How To Find Time For Your Business

If you are wanting to start your own business, you need to make the time.

"You don't find time; you make time. Okay the part about making time may not be that simple, but it is very much doable. The most important factor in making time is your mind set. Remember RYBLAB Run Your Business Like a Business. Assuming we're talking about a bona fide business and not just a little something you do periodically to earn a little extra cash, then it's important to manage your time."

WAHMs, what do you do to make time?

That's a great article Linda, thanks!

I'm a single WAHM who has a full time job as well. My son is in junior kindergarten so I have about 5 hrs every second day to get some work done. It is quite a challenge.

A couple of things I've found that help:

- Using a planner : I plan out my week and check off things as I accomplish them and it's a desk planner under my keyboard so I can have a quick look at any time. I use different colored highlighters to separate business appointments from personal appointments from actual work, etc

- Using Roboform : For some of my clients I do hand site submissions or article submissions and I use this free software called Roboform that automatically fills forms and it saves me time: http://www.roboform.com

- Using Timestamp : I also use a free program called Timestamp that is a time right on the computer. I can start and stop it whenever I need to and it helps me be more focused since when it is ticking I can see how much time I've been working for.

The most important thing I think is keeping organized and focused, it's hard but necessary.

ps. I haven't been around for a while but glad to be back for a visit
