I agree, not only is print advertising alive, it's an incredible bargain! As a print media buyer, I choose to place my clients into Thrifty Nickel and Pennysavers when they're on a tight budget. Not only do they pull leads right away, we see leads come in well after the fact, too. Print publications lay around the house or get clipped and saved for future reference. Online can't do this!

Print advertising is still alive today. However, the chances of touching your potential customers through the use of print ads are really small because a lot will just tend to hand out flyers without even talking to the customers if they're interested.

Today, the online world is so big that you have a worldwide audience. You need to take advantage of the tools we have today and at the same time, make sure that you use the tool on the right area.

Print advertising can still be used but shouldn't be conventional. We should communicate with interested customers and also give out important information with content just like copywriting a web post.

Pairing up Print ads and Online Marketing could get you a bigger chance in acquiring customers because you have a wider range of techniques. In the internet world, you can do SEO to boost your site's rankings while in the personal-wise marketing, you can do a person to person talk.

I would think that the demographic would be very important. What is the product or service? What is the age group you are marketing to?

Printing is certainly alive - competitive and niche specific, mind you, but certainly alive.

Yes it is still very very much alive based on the customers we've been getting (and we're a printing company). Disregarding printed media would be a very unwise move since people donít spend all day in front of the computer; they also go to malls, restaurants and other establishments where you could be advertising your brand. So there's definitely still a lot of opportunity for printed advertising out there.

I agree, anything can have an ability to bring customer it only depends on how the marketing strategy goes.

Yes, it is still alive and necessary for business. Even with the progress of digital/internet marketing, print advertisements are still effective for a simple reason: people can't stay online 24/7. Customers are still out there in malls, offices and other establishments. And it is easier to give out printed commercial materials than refer your clients to a website.
