Question Please help...How to track revenue from PPC?

Hi guys...

I'm about to launch a website and want to use pay per click with overture but I'm never done this before, this is my first time. I'm still confuse of how to start. All I know is that I have to sign up to be a member with overture and a credit card for my bid, right. But what next??

I mean if I start to bid and how can I track of which keyword is doing well and which don't? Also how can I know how much is the revenue that I get from only pay per click campaign? Is there any tools available to make this kind of report?

Please guys....I really don't know how to start.

Thank you for every advice in advance.

After you sign up, you should have already done some keyword research to identify the best keywords to target. After this is complete, you then begin to create ads that will be triggered by specific keywords and you then decide how much you are willing to pay for each click-thru.

As far as tracking, Overture will supply their own reporting as far as impressions and actual click-thrus go. You can also use a program such as ClickTracks if you want to track actual activity on your site such as where they came from, what they searched for, what they did, whether they bought or not, etc.
