Default Which Social Media Do You Choose?

Getting plugged in to social media is the next biggest thing for advertisers, but with so many social networks out there, which do you choose?

There is no single right or wrong answer to that question. First you need to find out where your prospective customers are choosing to hang out. Then make sure you're there too. It doesn't matter how "cool" or "popular" a social media channel is, if your customers aren't there, it won't work for you.

I agree with torka 100%. Like most things in the marketing world, it ultimately comes back to your audience. I cannot stress enough the importance of knowing your audience. This will help you in all facets of your marketing campaigns.

Everything from the channels you use to advertise to the language used in those ads should be a result of the preferences and needs of your audience.

I would study my market, do my research by finding out how each Social Network operates. Then I would start joining those particular networks & connecting with others in my niche.

Don't try to do to much at one time, may be start off with one Social Networking Site get the hang of it then move on to the next.

A lot of marketers become very confused because they are usually burning to many irons in the fire at one time, instead of working on one thing at a time, mastering it & then moving on to the next strategy.

Hope this helps!

I highly recommend Facebook because of its many features and since it is also one of the top visited websites in the world.. But I would also recomment Pinterest as its one of the promising social networking sites and in sites like this, its good to be one of the first so you could already build your profile and network by the time the traffic of the site booms.

I'd say Facebook, Pinterest, Twitter and LinkedIn. It is said about Social Media that Go where your market is. Find your people on these sites.

I choose facebook, twitter and linkedin because according to my experience these three networks are much effective than others.

I would definitely like to go with Twitter as Tweets are a great social networking sites to generate new business, they can be used for developing the business contacts.
Secondly,I would like to go for LinkedIn and some more specific industry specific forums, to network with other companies and share mutually beneficial expertise.
