Default Can Website Statistics Really Improve Site Usability?

Find out what is working and what is not.

"Once you have a good idea of where the problems lie, is to set a course of action to make changes to your site. Before you going making large changes to the site, you’ll want to set a plan so that you can measurably compare what is happening when you make your changes and learn what works (and doesn’t work) for next time."

How many of you use stats? Do they help?

Site statistics are only as good as the person willing to act on them.

If you do nothing with the information that you gain from your stats package then those stats are useless.

I use my stats almost daily. I'm always very interested in what key words visitors used to get to my site - I get surprised with what they're using once in a while!

As Crimson Fox stated: if you're not willing to act on the results of your statistics, you're wasting your time looking at them.
