What sort of business did you have in mind?
There are any number of businesses that can be run from home. Some require a PC and Internet connection; many do not.
Whether any specific business is a "good idea" or not would depend on your amount and type of experience, your level of interest in that particular industry or niche, how much resources (time, money, skill) you have to devote to setting up/running the business, what the demand is in the market for the product or service on offer, how well you're able to tap into that demand (or create demand where little exists), etc.
Start by figuring out what you're interested in. It's going to take a lot of hard work to get a successful business off the ground, and you'll find it much easier to put in the time/effort if you're working on something you find interesting or fun.
Then it's a matter of looking around and seeing if there is some need in the marketplace that you can address within your area(s) of interest. Once you know what kind of business you want to start, you can begin to plan how to make it a success.
