That's like asking which language it's best to speak if you want to become popular in real life. It doesn't matter so much which language you speak -- what matters is that you're speaking the same language as your audience, and that you're saying things they find appealing.

Social media will not make you popular. The different social media channels are simply ways of communicating with your audience.

So stop trying to find the one "best" social media channel that will magically make you successful and popular. There is no such thing.

Pick the channels where your target audience can be found and regularly post content that your audience finds interesting and useful. It will take time and work (and perhaps money to promote your posts at least until you build enough of an audience), but that's the way these things go.

Most brands end up using a combination of both Twitter and Facebook because they work very well together. Some companies get more engagement and a better ROI from Twitter, while others see better results with Facebook. Test out both, measure your results and find a healthy balance between the two.

What are you meaning by making someone popular? Popular in social media site? Then you have to create profile of that person on all popular social media sites like Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, Pinterest etc. After profile creation you have to be engaged in those social media sites as well.

It`s like asking what do you like more, apple or oranges. Different people will offer you different responses.
Depending on your niche, some social media platforms might be more important for you than others, but a thing remains always true:
In order to have the maximum effect you should use all of the social media platforms.
