Default Anti Virus Software

This may seem like a silly question to the more computer savvy of you out there but what is the best anti virus software to use? I have been using Mcaffe for years but a friend has told me it's not the best and there are much better software's on the market now. I need something good as my whole business is stored on my computer so a virus would cripple me. I do have some back up hard drives but I imagine it would take a while to set everything up properly from these so I would rather just get better protection. Please help me!!

I always used NOD32 antivirus. But now I use Microsoft Security Essentials. It is for free and works great.

+1 on NOD32. I also tried using it and it works great for me where it doesn't eat a lot of my memory especially when scanning compared to Norton. This is why I never use it again and wont recommend it. I also used AVG and works great but you can't use both at the same time.

As for me, I've been using Avast for almost 8 years now. It hasn't disappointed me so far and I am liking it more with the addition of new add-ons which are really helpful as well. I tried using other antivirus programs before but I always go back to using this.

Eset Smart Security is the best for me. I used to use Kaspersky and Avast but Eset is better than those two.

Default Avast Anti Virus

I have been using Avast Anti Virus since 5 years and for me it is the best Anti Virus Software. It is very simple to use to and is so effective.

Hi Andy Choc

I think the antivirus industry takes a little advantage of our need protect our data for the soul purpose of making themselves money; in reality however you maybe surprised to learn that a very capable antivirus software sits on most of our computers anyway! Windows Defender. Yes, don't be shocked and don't be sucked by all the hype about antivirus use the software you already have.

Concerning backups I use an online service called Mozy they have a free and paid version both are very good.

I agree with your friend. There are a lot of good anti virus software out in the market.
Among the Microsoft Security Essential and NOD32 are most effective. You can also take a look on Safebytes Anti-virus. It is also effective to protect your computer.

I use Avast these days, one of the best free options although they are getting annoying with their ugprade pop-ups.
