Thank you for taking the time to read my article.

You're not alone. A lot of misinformed individuals make that assumption about short copy being more suitable to the Internet. But that's all it is an assumption. It's not based in fact. Any marketing expert worth his or her salt will tell you the exact same thing - especially copywriting experts. In fact, in copywriting circles, this debate was decided in favor of long copy years ago.

The basics. Well written. However, as a Madison Ave agency copywriter for many years, leaves out what I consider the most critical factor -- the creative idea behind it all. It's the explosive creative idea that breaks through, grabs not just the reader's attention, but his mind, and gets action. yes, the points you make, particularly about selling benefits and talking from the customer's perspective are vital - but they're lame without the creative idea. For some reason rarely do I see creativity discussed in forums, ebooks and online courses. Take a look at the Clio or One Awards or Addy's to see how a creative concept grabs mind-space.

Default The best book ever!

Get "Cashvertising!" by Drew eric Whitman and "Words Shat Sell" by RIchard Bayan. Both incredible, must reads for advertising or copywriting.
