Default Reputation Through Social Media

Has your business's rep been impacted by social media? It can go both ways - people love you and they'll let others know but then they can hate you and will most likely try to let EVERYONE know. Social media is definitely changing how businesses represent themselves!

Businesses now have to answer to fans, which is something they didn't have to do even 20 years ago. You see examples of this as several products have had to rescind business decisions due to fan outcry on social media (2 that come to mind are the XBox One and Maker's Mark plan to lower the alcohol content).

Social media is one of the strongest ways to build brand in the market but for that you should very carefull during conversation through comments on the post because one negative and irrespective comment will mess your brand. If you will use social media in the genuine way then you will definitely able to make strong reputation in the market.

The main advantage of social media is it gives branding for your company. If you are providing better products and services to your user then you can its effect on social media.

I have to say is social media can be harmful for company if you are not getting better response from your users!!

It has made me realise how many people there are out there who actually know our business. Getting an unprecedented number of likes and finding out how many people talk about our business made me realise the importance of protecting our businesses's reputation on and off line.

There is definitely much more responsibility involved since social media and the online realm as a whole has developed. Recently a local business in my area posted an offensive comment on their FB page and a particular fan thought it was absurd so she posted it to all local community groups and pages, tagged all her local friends, etc. It was wild.

Social media does allow the business to connect with customers more than ever before though and if you don't update your channels there are some customers out there who will feel left out in the cold!

Cool

I am a bit agree with you.....But to combat negative press, rip off reports, social media attacks, forum posts and other negative search results pertaining to your name or business, You need regular reputation management to keep your customer and business in your favor...

Social media is another good medium for reputation management and companies are not able to ignore social media and online marketing because the truth of the matter is the more social you are and the more transparency you expose, youíre more likely to convert the sales and retain loyalty .

Social media is one of the most powerful tool in building your brand in the market. However, you need to have a plan to keep it active with valuable information. You can start by encouraging your existing customers to follow you and advertise your profiles.

One of the most important aspects of social media sites are that people can easily advertise their business and take feedback from their customers easily and effectively. You can able to connect easily with prospective clients and business enterprise partners through social media.
