That depends on what you mean by "guest blogging."

If:
  • You're legitimately an expert on the topic.
  • You only occasionally write guest posts, and then only for carefully selected blogs that are highly regarded in your industry.
  • You're writing the post to gain exposure for your business and/or establish yourself as an industry thought-leader.
  • The post contains no "keyword rich" anchor text links.
  • You would pursue the post even if there were no direct link to your website at all (or if the link were nofollowed).
Then you're probably OK continuing to guest post. Magazines accept articles from freelance writers, newspapers utilize "stringers" for some of their stories, and I expect Google would treat this no differently.

(Of course, I'm not Google. But everything in life carries a measure of risk. You have to decide for yourself how much risk you think this carries, and whether you're willing to bear it.)

If, on the other hand, you're writing loads of quick, relatively low quality articles on all sorts of topics and placing them in low-quality blogs (that is, blogs that are already loaded up with similar "guest posts") because you think this is a valid "link building" opportunity, then, yes, you should stop. Because that isn't really guest blogging, it's spam.

Each person will have to decide for him/herself where his/her own "guest blogging" activities lie between these two extremes and how he/she wants to proceed.

My

one another way can be create content of high quality, on your own blogs, which you control and you own. If your content is really of value, people will start interacting, liking, commenting and even sharing. So this is actually what has do be done and gives real quality to your internet marketing.

Torka also right. Guest blogs depends quality on your content and don't use anchor text its very harm full of your sites. Spam content don't use.

Its not spam unless you have unique rich content and you have given less hyperlinks to your data.

Not necessarily.. Guest blogging is only spammy if you continuously build the same link or link phrase in one domain..

Actually, it's spam if Google says it's spam (at least here in the USA) since they're the ones who control the majority of search traffic.

So what does Matt Cutts (head of the web spam team at Google, for those who aren't familiar with him) say about guest blogging?

Quote:
I’m calling it: if you’re using guest blogging as a way to gain links in 2014, you should probably stop. Why? Because over time it’s become a more and more spammy practice, and if you’re doing a lot of guest blogging then you’re hanging out with really bad company.
Quote:
In general I wouldn’t recommend accepting a guest blog post unless you are willing to vouch for someone personally or know them well. Likewise, I wouldn’t recommend relying on guest posting, guest blogging sites, or guest blogging SEO as a linkbuilding strategy.
Quote:
There are still many good reasons to do some guest blogging (exposure, branding, increased reach, community, etc.). Those reasons existed way before Google and they’ll continue into the future. And there are absolutely some fantastic, high-quality guest bloggers out there... I’m talking about guest blogging for search engine optimization (SEO) purposes.

Well there isn't much to say after Torka's answers. But in short terms - Guest blogging is not a spam if you do it correctly. Post to blogs with good backlink profiles, PR and trust flow.

And don't rely only on Guest Blogging. This should only be a way to diversify the backlink profile of your website. If this method is your main SEO strategy, you probably will face the wrath of Google.
