Default Only High PR Links?

Hi!

Can someone tell me whether I should have links or link to sites with high PR only? Every day I see a lot of high traffic / quality sites without any PR. Does Google see PR as the only factor in determining quality?

Thanks in advance for your help guys.

Definitely not. A link can provide two benefits (1) Visitors clicking on your link and visiting your site (2) Impact on search engine rankings.

When you are looking at the toolbar pagerank it could be that the page is new and the pagerank hasn't been updated within the toolbar. Also Pagerank can change over time, so if it is a quality page and you think it might benefit you in either of the above ways then I would seek out a link. Some times a low page rank page can have higher page rank down the road. My advice is don't focus on the toolbar pagerank, for starters it is updated infrequently. Focus on quality and all else will flow from there.

Default Hey!

Seo is a little black hat to google. Because google expects that if you have good content then people shall link to you. You should not do any linkbuilding yourself! So if you try to mimic this response of the internet to your content then it is only logical to have a mixture of authorities and 'non-authorities' talking about your site and thus link to it. You should therefore mix it all up even looking for nofollow links! I know some people will hang me for that as they think nofollow links have no value at all. In fact if you are competing with a site with a nofollow link, you shall not beat it until you have a couple for your site. That is just my two cents.

Way back before any updates happened in SEO world or in the internet. Page's credibility, power and authority was depended in it's Page Rank. But nowadays. Google has decreases it's power to qualify any website's authority

Hi ACWeb,

I would not worry about the PR too much when it comes to link building. I think developing unique, high quality content and distributing that content on well built/known online platforms or advertising opportunities is your best bet. You will still need to also do Social Media, on-site SEO, design/product development, advertising along with off course directories/bookmarking/videos etc. etc. What sites did you have in mind to use? What are your distribution goals for this project?

Hi..

High pr link is very necessary because search engines utilize several quality links that website has in determining its page rank. I can say , the high PR one way link is much more than just one way link. High PR one way link is a complete SEO package that increases your website value quite unbelievably.

Good day!!

You need not to worry too much about PR as there are many websites out there having good enough traffic with low PR. Focus on quality and usefulness of your content rather than this.

You need to know that there are times that PR is irrelevant because people will search for specific needs like for example a review on some watch.

High Page ranked websites are helpful in a way that you have a bigger chance of your link being seen by other people. You should take note that whenever that chance arrives, you shouldn't waste it so you need to put in quality posts which will inform people of what they need. You need to earn their trust before having them to click your website.

As far as my understanding is concerned, the high or low PR does matter, when the quality of contents is high. We should try to go for natural way of link building by providing valuable products or services to visitors and that is all, the search engine demand as well.

Default It depends

I was the founder of an SEO company that was pretty successful and I can tell you that we have seen different results in regards to link building based on what type of SEO you are trying to do. Having links going out from your site only enhances your user experience and does not affect your SEO. We primarily did SEO for a local businesses and we saw drastic results with just link building period. PR0-PR2 was more than enough to obtain the results we wanted. We built anywhere from 6-10 per month and dominated placement in pretty much every city and industry we optimized for. An example would be "plumbing san antonio" We didn't really focus on general terms like diamonds but I have friends that have firms that do that and I think there is where your PR5-PR8 really comes into play. Hope this helps.
