Default Viral Video

The key is to put a video out there that is relevant. If people don't actually pass it around, it doesn't do you that much good, especially if you put a lot of work into it.

You don't need a video to be passed around to benefit from it.

Having a video on a video site with links back to yours is like a billboard in a busy street.

Viral video is great for traffic generation.

Default Video publicity

Do it for free with YouTube !

I've posted a few and Yahoo (bless em) counts the links back to my site. The page on YouTube is already climbing Google search results.

On your own site relevance is key, on the Tube anything that's interesting helps.

There doesn't seem to be spam prevention on YouTube, so it might help to ask for comments on your own site/blog

I had success driving traffic to a blog with YouTube. Here is what I did:

Youtube - Had several videos with link at the bottom of the video, as well as links to my blog and myspace page in the Video description. Our most successful video currently has 478,870 views and drives a fair amount of traffic to our site.

MySpace - I had two profiles, a main and an "artist" page with some MP3's I had made. The main contained links to the blog and I embedded the video on my Myspace page. The artist and main pages linked to other other.

Digg - Never had any luck on here. Best post had 5 diggs.

Technorati - drove some traffic, but I found it the most useful to search our key phrase (Ghost ride the whip) and find other people who had blogged about it. Then I would contact them and show them the site. This lead to a good amount of links.

Blog - Link to the Myspace profiles on the front page under the about me section, with the video posted in the blog as an entry from time to time.

I guess my point in all this is to make all your social media point to each other in order to get the get best results. The result was a rank between #1 and #4 for our keyphrase.

Cheers!

Thumbs up Video about video SEO

This guy made a video about the seo opportunities for videos.
http://www.seoish.com/video-seo-in-google/
But I think he mainly uses the videos for branding.

But I am confused...are you talking about traffic being driven to your site thought a search engine, by posting a video on youtube?

I think you'll get alot more direct traffic than SE traffic from most videos and if your site is useful, then people will talk about it...and then b/c people are talking about it, you will get more SE traffic...you follow?

You know they index videos (From You Tube & Google) in Google now and you also get back links from Google Video to your page so the SE factor is pretty good for optimized video titles.

If you backlink your video you can push your SE rank up for the video.

Thumbs up Cratima Interactive

I've red all your posts and I've realized that video submission is

not SEO, it is Internet marketing.

Web sites like Youtube, Google Video, etc., with high PR, are

very good for SEO (if you post a video, and you add your

keywords, and someone searches for them, your video should

appear in the first three pages, or so, and thus people would

hear easily about me).

Of course you can use SEO for your video, in order for it to be

indexed better by search engines, but this depends on the web

sites that are hosting your video. I've heard that some of them

use nofollow in their source code.

I will make a video in collaboration with a marketing company.
I agree with you and think that if the video is good will bring

traffic to Cratima Interactive web site regardless it is well

indexed by Google, Yahoo, etc.... or not.

People will promote it better than spiders.

I agree,

Video is a great solution for marketing your business, and has so many benefits to it!

A good video not only provides you with free SEO, and advertising, it can also help increase your sales, reach , branding, and can give your company an overall better image.

More people are using video today too. So in order to stay on top of your competitors I think its really important to start using video, if you havent already.

If anyones interested in using web video to promote their services, you should check out a company called ByteCaster.

They specialize in web video for small businesses, and provide you with a complete video solution. They help you with everything from concept and script writting, to production and distribution of your video.
