What type of disputes are you talking about?

I have had half a dozen non paying customers in the past month - more than i have ever had. Hence - i have had to file disputes to get back my listing fees.
I have had no problems (knock on wood - tap tap).

I have had some PayPal disputes back in the day (several years ago) and the customer service was almost non-existent. I talked with them recently on the phone and I got a competent, American-based rep so hopefully it has gotten better.

I had a paypal dispute back in late '07 it was about those "I'm not a plastic
bag" bags, that women were going crazy over. I had managed to get my
hands on a pretty good stash. They were VERY tough to get at the original
price less than $20 but easy to sell for over $100 online, (ebay, craigslist etc.)

Long story short, had a buyer from Singapore, who didn't want to pay extra
for fast shipping (I had offered free standard shipping). The bag took
rediculously long to get to her, (over 6 weeks I believe), and she filed a claim
understandably. My problem was that I actually did ship the bag and it just
took waay to long to get to her. Paypal ended up getting taking the money
back from me after they initially froze it so I couldn't withdraw it.

She ended up receiving the bag, had confirmation from CanadaPost online,
didn't give back the money. I had to file another claim and fax in the shipping
receipt plus show the online proof she received it. Finally after many months,
they sided with me and I got my money back! Granted I guess they did what
they could, and because it wasn't that much I didn't follow up as diligently.
But... man, the things I had to do to get that cash.

Generally though, my experience hasn't been too bad.

I have never had any problems but there are some issues that can get kinda scary.

I remember reading this...

I've had a few disputes. Half had gone my way, half went the other way. Just make sure you have solid proof of mailings and such.

Smile Paypal Is Not Easy

I have had numerous issues with Paypal. The only thing I can advise is to follow their instructions. Especially if they have a large sum of your money. Good Luck!
